The United Nations warned in a severe report that the number of hungry people in the world is increasing.

The United Nations indicated in its report that the number of people suffering from hunger in the world is rising during the past three years, after witnessing a significant decline.

According to this report, 821 million people in the world suffered from it in 2017, which is approximately one in nine people.

In addition, about 151 million children under the age of five, or 22% of the global total, are undernourished.

On the other hand, the report indicated that the numbers of people with obesity are rising significantly, as more than 672 million people have been infected, which is one out of every eight adults.

The authors of the report suggested that this fluctuation in the problems of undernourishment may be due to changes that the world is witnessing, such as rising temperatures and the abundance of hurricanes, among others.

The report sends a clear message about the impact of climate change, its effects on humans and health, and the threat it poses, as it has a direct impact on crops and foods.

The authors of the report stressed that the rise in the number of hungry people around the world was shocking, especially after the decline witnessed in previous years.
