The American National Academy of Sciences (NAS) explained that it may be transmitted through the air, and not only through respiratory droplets, that is, it may be transmitted through breathing or speaking.
Harvey Fineberg, chair of the Committee on Emerging Infectious Diseases and 21st Century Health Threats at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in America, explained in a letter that the potential for airborne transmission of the virus exists.
On the other hand, the World Health Organization has not yet confirmed this information, and it had made it clear on its part that the virus is transmitted through respiratory droplets when sneezing or coughing.
In the event that information is confirmed that the virus is transmitted through the air, the issue of preventing it will become very difficult, which will lead to the need for everyone to wear it when leaving the house.
In order to arrive at this information, the team of researchers, led by Dr. Feinberg, reviewed some studies, including one conducted at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, which found widespread viral RNA RNA in an isolated room of patients being treated for infection with the virus.
The researchers noted that this DNA settled on the different, as it appeared in samples taken from the air and at a distance of more than two meters from patients.
The presence of the virus’s DNA at this distance indicates the possibility of transmission through the air.
In turn, US President Donald Trump indicated with the American Center for Disease Prevention and Control that citizens should always wear masks when leaving the house.
