The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has published some instructions that help detect perfume allergy, in order to avoid the appearance of any serious health complications.

The authority indicated in a post on its official account on the social networking site Twitter that the substances that can cause the presence of essential oils naturally, and have become present in almost all types of perfumes at the present time, which may affect the health of some people negatively.

To avoid this it is important to follow some instructions before buying, which include:

  • Make sure you have a list of the ingredients that the perfume contains
  • Read the ingredients of the perfume carefully, as it may contain allergens, knowing that this is not against the law.
  • Do not buy any essential oils that are mixed or diluted with any solvent.

Also, a person who is allergic to any kind of perfume should try it on his forearm first and wait for twenty-four hours to make sure that no allergic reaction appears.

After purchasing the perfume, it is important to store it in a dry place and at room temperature, to keep it properly, and it should not be left in the closed car under the sun, because this may cause the package to explode.
