Although staying at home during this period in order to reduce the spread of people, going to the supermarket is absolutely unavoidable, but how should you act about your clothes and shoes in this case?

We all wash our hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and water, and we also wear gloves, but what about clothes and shoes?

In this regard, Dr. (), who works in the fight against infectious diseases in the United States of America, explained that the chance of transmission of the virus from clothes or shoes is very low.

He pointed out that so far there is not much information about the virus, but so far no cases of infection have been recorded as a result of contamination of clothes or shoes.

But there are some cases in which it is recommended that clothes be washed and shoes cleaned immediately, and they are as follows:

  • Caring for a sick person
  • Inability to apply social distancing
  • Sneezing or coughing of someone very close to you.

As for shoes, it is advised in any case not to enter the house with them, because they may carry dirt and germs, and the same applies to the issue of the new Corona virus.

On the other hand, focusing on other preventive aspects is more important, especially not touching the face, including the nose, mouth, eyes and ears, social distancing, constantly sterilizing hands, and others.
