The results of a new study published in the scientific journal (JAMA Ophthalmology) revealed that eating in particular would enhance human eyesight.

Where the researchers behind the study noted that the adult person who eats dark chocolate has a noticeable increase in his sense of sight after about two hours of eating it.

Recently, there has been a lot of news about the health benefits of dark chocolate, due to its strong content, which enhances heart health and cognitive performance, and now researchers suggest that it may improve eyesight as well.

To confirm this theory, the researchers targeted 30 adults (9 men and 21 women) with an average age of 26 years, and they were divided into two groups as follows:

  1. The first group asked them to eat a small piece of dark chocolate, which contains 316.2 milligrams of antioxidants.
  2. The second group ate milk chocolate, which contains 40 mg of antioxidants.

Two hours after eating the chocolate, the participants underwent a vision test, and they found that the dark chocolate group had better results compared to the placebo group.

The researchers stressed that they need more studies on the subject, in order to reveal the reason behind this relationship.
